The Junior Jay JV White team took two out of three games during an Iowa road trip Saturday, April 16, in games played at West Des Moines, at Ankeny and at Ames. The Junior Jays fell to the West Des Moines Tigers JV 12-6 in a game played at noon at Tiger field in West Des Moines, before coming back to beat the Ankeny Hawks 6-0 in a game played at 4:30 p.m. at the Prairie Ridge Sports Complex in Ankeny, Iowa, and then the Ames Little Cyclones 7-6 in a game played at 6:30 p.m. at Ames Middle School in Ames, Iowa.
Prep scorers during the three game swing through Iowa were led by RJ Moffatt (6 goals and 1 assist), Mark Mausbach (3 goals and 3 assists), Jack Mausbach (3 goals), Matt Buckley (2 goals), Leo Dunlap (2 goals), Max Bruning (1 goal and 1 assist), Paul Gordon (1 goal) and Taran Theel (1 goal), with Tyler Varney and Tyler Fangman each adding an assist.
The Junior Jay defense was led by Taran Theel (12 ground balls), Ryan Buresh (7 ground balls), RJ Moffatt (6 ground balls), Cameron Kozol (6 ground balls), Charlie Johnson (5 ground balls), Matt Buckley (5 ground balls), Bobby Lawton (4 ground balls), Leo Dunlap (4 ground balls), Max Bruning (3 ground balls), Alex Kontz (3 ground balls), Sam Johnson (3 ground balls), Paul Gordon (2 ground balls), Tyler Varney (2 ground balls), Ethan Yale (2 ground balls), Mark Mausbach (2 ground balls), Tyler Fangman (2 ground balls) and Jack Abt (2 ground balls).
