The Junior Jay Varsity dropped a road game 12-5 to the Lincoln Rampage Friday night at the Abbott Sports Complex in Lincoln in a game rescheduled from April 27 due to weather. The Lincoln Rampage is a consolidated team that draws its players from all high schools in Lincoln, Nebraska and the surrounding area.
Prep scorers were led by Jack Mausbach (2 goals), Dante Dovali (1 goal), Sam Johnson (1 goal) and RJ Moffatt (1 goal), with Brennan Kelley and Leo Dunlap each adding an assist. The Junior Jay defense was led by Leo Dunlap (6 ground balls), Carson Johnson (4 ground balls), Sam Johnson (3 ground balls), Mitch Rhoades (3 ground balls) and Zac Boyer (3 ground balls), with Eddie Johnson, Jack Mausbach and Brennan Kelley adding 2 ground balls apiece. Junior Jay Goalie Sam Johnson was credited with 13 saves. The loss drops the Junior Jay Varsity record to 8-3.
Next up for the Junior Jays are the Papillion Knights, Monday, May 9 at 6 PM at Papillion LaVista High School.
